what you'll learn
- Design water‑wise systems – capture and store rain, slow runoff and irrigate your garden efficiently.
- Understand soil and microclimates – build healthy soil, identify plant guilds and create niches for productive crops.
- Map and plan your property – use simple tools to assess sun, wind and slope and turn your observations into a workable design.
- Integrate animals and plants – create harmonious systems where animals, trees and vegetables support one another.
- Plan for abundance – design multi‑layered food forests that provide year‑round harvests and habitat for wildlife.
How it Works
- Self‑paced curriculum – access modules and resources online and work through them at your own speed.
- Interactive exercises – complete design tasks for your own property and get feedback from peers.
- Flexible schedule – set aside 4 - 6 hours per week for study; total course duration is approximately eight months (March–November).
- Certification – submit your final design to receive an internationally‑recognised Permaculture Design Certificate from Regenpreneur.
About the facilitator
I'm Kelly, a permaculture practitioner living off‑grid on the west coast of the North Island with my family, alpacas, goats, hens and our big American bulldog, Munter.
I’ve spent years experimenting with foodscaping, soil building and regenerative design in our own paddocks.
My passion is helping others build confidence and skills to create abundant landscapes of their own.
In this course I guide you through the curriculum, answer questions and share local insights so you can apply the principles to your place.
